Down stream systems

Hii Retail can be considered the central nervous system for your retail applications. Hii Retail can serve any system, internal or external through various capabilities. In this document we will describe some of those systems.

Point Of Sale (POS)​

Most important for most retailers is of course the POS. This can be a manned POS, self service POS or even a custom mobile application. The POS applications provided by Extenda Retail will be supported as standard. The HII POS, ER POS and RS POS (coming soon) have an out of the box compatibility with Hii Retail.

Custom POS applications or other vendors might need integration work.

Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL)​

Hii Retail has all the necessary data to serve any electronic shelf label vendor. We provide a standard integration with several already. Our preferred way of integrating is through the External Events system where the vendors can set up a REST API endpoint that will be called for all changes in relevant data. This is considered a real time integration and should serve most ESL needs.

Scales​

In-store scales of any kind can be integrated with Hii Retail. We support some major vendors as standard.

Scales for recipe production, self service, price checks and checkout can be integrated.

Our preferred way of integrating is through the External Events system where the vendors can set up a REST API endpoint that will be called for all changes in relevant data. This is considered a real time integration and should serve most Scale needs.

Label and Poster printing​

As with ESL, paper labels are equally important, and Hii Retail supports most printing needs, in the sense that we can provide the 3rd party printing service with the data needed to produce the labels or posters.

Hii Retail does not have a printing service of it's own. Neither do we carry any information about label or poster formats. This must be handled by an external printing service.

Stock and replenishment systems​

Hii Retail can provide stock and replenishment systems with Item, Price, Item Identifiers etc. to facilitate best practice stock keeping and replenishment processes. Hii Retail can receive and provide 2D barcodes with batch/lot and expiry information so that stores can manage expiration dates and food waste in the best possible manner.

Loyalty systems​

Hii Retail can serve loyalty systems with Item, Price and Promotion information. Our own loyalty system Hii Relevate is our standard loyalty provider, but 3rd party systems can also be integrated. Most likely this requires adaptations, and will require a project to integrate.
