Downstream Systems

Hii Retail acts as the central nervous system for your retail applications, serving both internal and external systems. This document describes some of those systems.

Point of Sale (POS)​

The POS is critical for most retailers. Hii Retail supports Extenda Retail POS solutions (HII POS, ER POS, RS POS) out of the box. Custom POS applications or other vendors may require integration work.

Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL)​

Hii Retail provides all necessary data for ESL vendors and offers standard integrations. Integration is typically via External Events, where vendors set up a REST API endpoint for real-time data changes.

Scales​

Hii Retail supports integration with in-store scales from major vendors. Integration is via External Events for real-time updates.

Label and Poster Printing​

Hii Retail supports paper label and poster printing by providing data to third-party printing services. Hii Retail does not provide printing services or manage label/poster formats.

Stock and Replenishment Systems​

Hii Retail can provide stock and replenishment systems with Item, Price, and Item Identifier data, including 2D barcodes with batch/lot and expiry information.

Loyalty Systems​

Hii Retail can serve loyalty systems with Item, Price, and Promotion data. Hii Relevate is the standard loyalty provider, but third-party systems can be integrated with additional effort.
