Assortment Policy
The Assortment Policy entity defines how items are assigned to assortments for Business Units. It assigns or removes items for the specified businessUnitGroupId and allows setting properties like assortment codes and validity dates.
Assigning an Assortment Policy to a higher-level Business Unit Group will apply it to all subordinate Business Units.
The policy is stored for reference.

Assortment Types
| Assortment type | Description |
|---|---|
AVAILABLE_ASSORTMENT | The item is available for inclusion in the active assortment. |
IN_ASSORTMENT | The item is in the active, centrally maintained assortment. The default type for integrations where Item data is not maintained and managed in Hii Retail. |
EXPIRING_ASSORTMENT | The item is in the assortment but will be removed after a grace period. |
REMOVE_FROM_ASSORTMENT | The item is not available in any assortment and cannot be included or found in searches. |
IN_LOCAL_ASSORTMENT | The item is in the active assortment as a Business Unit-specific, editable item. Reserved for local items or overrides of centrally managed items that store personnel can edit. |
