Exchange Rates

Note: This service replaces the exchange rates features for the deprecated service Currency & Exchange Rates.

Exchange Rates​

Maintains the exchange rates for:

  • The tenant
  • The business unit
    • Gets inherited exchange rates from the tenant if not overridden/specified for the business unit.

Note! When exporting to PubSub or requesting data from API, the output is calculated for each business unit. So subscribers don’t have to handle/calculate the global exchange rates.

Exchange rate types​

The exchange rates are maintained for each type:

  • SALES
    • The exchange rate to be used for sales.
  • PURCHASE
    • The exchange rate to be used for purchases from suppliers.
  • INTERCOMPANY
    • The exchange rate used for intercompany actions, like purchasing from one business unit to another.

Import exchange rates from European Central Bank​

Import of exchange rates from the European Central Bank (ECB) is now supported:

  • ECB contains exchange rates for all European currencies and major currencies across the world.
  • If importing exchange rates, the tenants/business units can set a markup, to ensure some margin to the standard exchange rates provided by the European Central Bank.
