Digital Receipts

Transaction Repository provides a functionality to process incoming transactions and generate digital receipts based on the transaction data. The digital receipts are then available through an integration with one of the supported third-party digital receipt providers.

Supported Digital Receipt Providers

Currently, Transaction Repository supports integration with the following digital receipt providers:

  • Kivra: Receipts are parsed and sent to Kivra for delivery to customers via the Kivra app. Limited to Swedish transactions.

Enabling Digital Receipts

To enable Digital Receipts to be processed and sent to the desired provider, you need to configure the Digital Receipt settings in the Customer Controlled Configuration (CCC) as well as using certain providers will require you to set up Business Unit Management (BUM) settings in HiiRetail – e.g. for store names or organization VATs.

Beside using respective APIs directly, you can also configure the Digital Receipt settings using HiiRetail Configuration Portal at https://{tenant-alias}.hiiretail.com/configuration-portal/.

Below are the configurations required for each supported provider:

Kivra

Kivra digital receipt provider requires both CCC and BUM configurations to be set up correctly. This data is being used to properly configure the Kivra stores to match your HiiRetail business unit structure and to associate the receipts with the correct store information.

CCC Configuration

CCC configuration for Kivra digital receipts should include the following JSON structure:

{
"kivra": {
"chainId": "string",
}
}
FieldDescription
chainIdThe Kivra chain ID associated with the store.
Digital Receipt ingestor will use it to create the store if the store does not yet exist in Kivra.

BUM Configuration

For Kivra digital receipts, the following BUM fields should be configured:

FieldDescription
businessUnit.nameThe name of the store as it should appear in Kivra.
Will default to Unknown Business Unit if not set.
businessUnit.vatNumberThe VAT number of the store's organization. Required for Kivra integration.
Should be in SENNNNNNNNNNNN format, will default to SE000000000000 when not set, or fail if is invalid

Take note that the created store will set external_id property in Kivra to the businessUnit.id value from BUM that matches the HiiRetail business unit id.
