Context​

We need to be able to:

  • do continuous delivery and deployment of our local services.
  • deploy new versions of our local services without downtime.
  • retrieve logs from our local services.

The Service Manager is already being used to deploy other local services.

Decision​

We will use the Service Manager to deploy our local services. The Service Manager will be responsible for deploying our local services and managing the lifecycle of our local services.

Consequences​

The Service Manager will allow us to deploy new versions of our local services without downtime. The Service Manager will allow us to retrieve logs from our local services. The Service Manager will allow us to monitor the health of our local services. The use of the Service Manager will decrease the possibility of human error when deploying our local services.
